Rules and Regulations for the Guangzhou Football League Spring 2008:

All details and questions should be brought up with the Organizing Committee.

♦ All games will be played in the Tian He Sports Field.

♦ Sunday evenings between from 6pm to 9pm.

♦ Each game will be 80 minutes (two halves of 40minutes) with 5 minutes half-time.

♦ Each team must field 7 players and a goalkeeper (8 a-side).

♦ There is no limit to the number of substitutions or players used. (see below rules for specifics on substitutions)

♦ Each team should wear a kit of matching colours and should attempt to have each shirt
numbered. The Organizing Committee should be told before the start of the league which colour each team intends to play in.

♦ Each match will have one referee (and no linesman)

♦ No off-side, all other rules of normal football will apply

♦ Disciplinary Action:
    ♦ Two yellow cards in a single match:
    ♦ sent off from match, no further consequences
    ♦ Red card due to dangerous/overly aggressive challenge, tripping, pushing etc:
    ♦ sent off plus a further one-match ban
    ♦ Red card due to fighting:
    ♦ Two match ban

♦ Any player fighting or who engages the referees in a violent manner will be banned for the remainder of the season.

♦ The referee and team captains will record the score at the final whistle with the official scorekeeper.

♦ 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.

♦ At the end of the League, final positions will be decided on most points, goal difference, goals scored etc

♦ If a team fails to attend a fixture the game will be awarded to the opposition by the score of 5-0. Notes. If any team knows in advance that they are unable to attend a fixture they must inform the organizing committee before the beginning of the tournament and efforts will be made to play that fixture during mid-week. That team may be liable for the extra costs of playing the fixture at another date.

♦ If a team is ten minutes late for a fixture and they miss the official kick off time they will be deducted two goals. A further goal will be deducted for every 5 minutes they are late. After five goals are deducted the game will be awarded to the opposition.


♦ Any disputes should be brought to the attention of the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee′s decision is final.

Substitutions
There will be no rolling substitutions. Players should enter and leave the field only when the ball is out-of-play. Players should enter and leave the field at the half-way line at their squads designated position. (Each team will take one side of the pitch)
